Straight out of the rice state of Malaysia, Alor Setar, Incarnation have quietly tiptoed their way into winning this award from some of their more illustrious peers around the region. But the sound they make is anything but subtle: a cacophony of crashing drums, copious amounts of chugging arpeggio riffs and soaring choruses. They have managed to perfectly marry the manic energy of old school metal with nu hardcore sensibilities–a fact that is obvious on their brilliant album Stainless Perfect Murder, released in 2009.
