He is inspired by everything from Japanese animation to comics and movies, which all contribute to his edgy, fun designs. He’s also been involved in a high profile show at the Malaysia International Fashion Week 2008 (M-iFW08) as part a young designers group show, "Ten Rising Stars." The entity known as Insight Visuals is represented by motion visuals maestro Danny Hoo - who has always had a passion for live visuals and has been doing this since 2004. Introduced to live visual mixing by Tim Grass, his first gig was a joint launch for MTV Asia and DiGi at Espanda. Motivated by what he calls the 'wow' effect visuals have on audiences, he treats each event individually in terms of branding and concept and sets high creative and professional standards for himself. Meticulous planning goes into every job and this translates into relevant, vibrant visuals. Citing UK-based electronic duo Underworld as one of his main influences (he loves the simplicity in their music and visuals), he does everything from musical theatre, concerts, club gigs and installation-oriented shows. He plans to venture more into more musical theatre and installation work locally and abroad. Previous events he has done include MVA Awards 2004, Nokia Creative Awards @ Zouk 2005, Push VS Trinity @ Zouk 2004, 2005, Puteri Gunung Ledang Musical Theatre (KL & Singapore), P. Ramlee The Musical (KL & Singapore) 2008 and more. Throughout the last year, he’s also been involved in the Freedom Merdeka Party, Smartie Partie, Mahsuri musical theatre and Sweet Charity concert in Esplanade, Singapore.
